y primary interest is in the Rock Island, since my family rode the Twin Star Rocket from Houston to Minnesota to visit my mother’s family.

 

However, MP was a major railroad in Houston, and visiting Settegast was always a treat. I even managed to ride the MP Texas Eagle from Houston to Conroe once. Plus there was usually an Office car parked at Union Station when passenger trains still called there.
