It was a home road here in San Antonio.  Main influence was riding the Eagle between here and Texarkana several times with my mother when I was a kid.  Also rode AMTK from the "Rabbit Patch" to Laredo one time.  Grandparents were operators on the T&P outside of Marshall (Abney's) about 100 years ago.  Also had a great uncle, Frank Boyce, who was high seniority engineer in Missouri when I knew him. 

 

MP was not the friendliest road here, however.  Katy and SP were both way more friendly toward the enthusiast.
