The Missouri Pacific Hisorical Society welcomes all to it's 2018 annual convention, October 4-7 in Austin, TX.

This years convention promises to be an event you won't want to miss. As has been the case for the last several years, the MPHS board of directors has decided to keep the cost for general registration as low as possible. Advance registration will be $30.00 through the end of August. After that, the cost will be $40.00. Due to the low, low rate we will not be offering any single-day registrations. The cost will be the same for any and all days. Membership in the MPHS is not required. The link for online registration is located HERE. Spouses may attend for free. And, there will be activities planned just for spouses and other family members. Information on these activities will be made as soon as possible.
 
A Limited number of tables will be available for the Saturday afternoon swap meet. Details and reservation info can be found HERE.
 
Be sure and read all the information contained on the main convention page and check out all of the links so that you have all the information available for each activity. Austin will be a busy place at the time of the convention and it is strongly recommended that you make your hotel reservations as early as possible. Hotel information is available HERE. Remember that using the convention hotel facility for your lodging helps keep the convention costs low.

Charter Train Trip

We have secured a charter train trip with the Austin Steam Train Association. This event is scheduled for Friday October 5th. Our train is scheduled to depart from the ASTA Cedar Park depot at 9:30 AM. Our train will stop for a tour of the depot at Bertram before heading to Burnet to be turned on the wye. We will return via reverse route with a scheduled arrival of 1:30 PM back at Cedar Park. The total distance will be 66 miles for the round trip.

Since we will be on the train during the lunch hour, a box lunch will be offered for an additional fee. The caterer will need our order in advance, so you must pre-order and pay for your meal(s) in advance. For your convenience, a link has been created in the Company Store to make your choice of menu items and make payment. Water, tea and coffee will be provided throughout the trip for free. As per our normal convention policy, you do not need to be a member of the MPHS in order to participate in this event. But, you must be registered and paid up for the convention itself.
